Creative Decision Making
Art Direction & Concept
The campaign focused on showcasing Ssōne’s knitwear collection against the rugged, natural beauty of Cornwall’s coastline. The creative direction called for a balance between the softness of the knitwear and the untamed wildness of the scenery. This stark contrast was designed to reflect the collection's durability, warmth, and timelessness, aligned with Ssōne’s commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.
Location selection
The shoot took place on the cliff tops of Zennor, Cornwall, a location chosen for its raw, unrefined landscapes. The rugged cliffs and dramatic coastline created a striking visual contrast with the softness of the handcrafted knitwear, emphasizing both the collection’s natural materials and its outdoor appeal.

Implementation
Pre-Production
The team scouted locations across Zennor to find the ideal cliffside spots that captured the essence of Cornwall’s wild beauty. A shot list and concept board were developed to ensure consistency throughout the shoot.
Shoot Execution
The shoot was led by photographer Alice, whose artistic vision brought the knitwear to life against the rugged backdrop. Over the course of the shoot, a combination of wide landscape shots and intimate close-ups were captured, showcasing both the natural setting and the fine details of the garments. Alice’s expertise in outdoor photography was crucial in capturing the ethereal, natural atmosphere of the campaign.
Post-Production
Photos were edited and optimised for use across Ssōne’s website, social media, and blog. The imagery balanced the wild, outdoor scenery with the soft, intricate craftsmanship of the knitwear. In addition to visual assets, we also provided copywriting for the website and blog, detailing the experience of working on the cliffs of Zennor, the creative vision behind the project, and insights into the work of photographer Alice and the broader team.
